Pymble students have a wide range of opportunities to explore Australia and the world with the Domestic and International Tours program. Participating in school-organised tours provides in-depth educational experiences, builds independence and creates lifelong memories.

In 2024, Pymble students travelled far and wide on a diverse range of international tours, such as the USA Dance Tour, World Robotics competitions, Vanuatu Geography Tour, Oxford UK Academic Tour, USA Science Tour, Fiji Service Tour, European Music Tour and Italian Language Tour.

In 2025, international travel opportunities include World Robotics competitions in the USA, Tanzania Service Tour, a Japan Language Tour, a History Tour to Europe, a Fiji Service Tour and a Language Arts Model United Nations competition in The Hague.

Domestically there are a wide variety of sporting competition trips throughout the year, as well as the Year 10 Commerce trip to Melbourne and the Darwin/Kakadu Cultural Immersion Trip.

In 2026 and beyond we will continue to offer students a range of academic, cultural, service and sporting opportunities, both domestically and internationally.

Types of tours

Language tours are designed to immerse students in the destination country and allow them to experience speaking the language and learn the culture of the country they are visiting.

Sport tours are tailored to students who are passionate about sport. These tours may include playing sport whilst on tour, competing, watching games and training with local clubs, as well as some sightseeing!

Performing Arts tours aim to showcase the culture of countries visited whilst offering students the opportunity to play music/attend shows and concerts and experience performing arts around the world.

Service tours provide an opportunity for students to get off the usual tourist path and into the local community where they will participate in community service and be immersed in the local culture, in addition to exploring the country and enjoying adventurous activities with friends. These tours are all about contribution, connection and fun.

Cultural tours offer students the opportunity to be immersed in a country/region and learn about its history and local customs, whilst enjoying the sights, food and connection with the local people.

Academic tours give students the chance to deepen their understanding of an area they are passionate about and extend their knowledge in a global setting. Students come away with a greater appreciation of concepts and are inspired for future opportunities.

Timeline of Tours

Please note most tours are offered bi-annually to multiple year levels, so students will have an opportunity to attend a certain tour one year or the next.
