The anti-racism education project, captured in the article, Don’t Shoot the Messenger: Addressing racism in schools through student-developed curriculum, tells the story of a visionary group of Pymble students who asked what their school could do to educate students about racism.
From this brave beginning, students worked with teachers and an academic expert, Professor Fiona White from the School of Science, University of Sydney, to create an award-winning approach to anti-racism education in their own school.
From the wider group of students who contributed to this project, Faye Chang, Fiona Fu and Isharah Hewavitharana, co-wrote this article with Pymble Institute Director, Sarah Loch, as a record of the innovation and what was learned.
