Staff Wellbeing
Our wellbeing philosophy
How does Pymble support the wellbeing of teachers and staff?
The health and wellbeing of our Pymble family is our priority. Consistent with our values, we nurture a caring workplace where each individual is known and supported. Similar to our girls, the College takes a holistic approach to staff wellbeing with a focus on mind, body and spirit.
Pymble has an active Staff Wellbeing Committee comprised of representatives from across the Pymble staff, who focus on how to best support their wellbeing. It meets each term to plan and deliver activities and events across our campus for all staff.
Throughout the year, the Committee provide opportunities for staff throughout the College to take time to learn more about wellbeing practices, socialise and make connections.
The Staff Wellbeing Committee runs activities including:
- A special morning tea to welcome new staff
- R U OK? Day – Gelato Bar
- Social drinks
- Casual for a Cause – fundraising for charities supporting women and girls
- Providing Pymble Baby Bags – full of practical goodies for staff expecting a baby
- Our annual all-staff Christmas Party
In addition, Pymble has a dedicated Staff Health and Wellbeing Online Hub which houses a range of resources for staff on a range of issues including about caring for aging parents, coping with miscarriage and pregnancy loss, relationship breakdowns and support for family and domestic violence.
