Practicums and Internships

Pymble Ladies’ College provides a variety of internships and teacher placements for students studying either Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching qualifications.

We welcome applications from high quality candidates who are eager to learn and work in a collaborative, innovative and dynamic environment which places high value on achieving personal excellence in all areas of endeavour. 

Teacher Placements

Offer the student opportunities to shadow and be mentored by highly experienced teachers, with exposure to multiple disciplines within learning areas in the Secondary and Year Levels in the Junior School.

Alongside gaining experience in the delivery of subject specific content in the classroom, students also have exposure to best practice in developing and sustaining student wellbeing in an all girl environment  as well as the opportunity to gain experience in the delivery of  a world class co-curricular program. 

Internships

Are offered to exceptional students, who are eligible for conditional accreditation, in their final year of study.

Interns are mentored by highly experienced teachers who support and guide their development as they take on the responsibilities of their teaching load. Interns have access to the resources and expertise of the college to support them in completing their study.

Successful interns may be offered permanent contracts at the end of their internship.
