Technology continues to transform the world at an ever-increasing rate. At Pymble, we understand the importance of global citizenship and critical thinking for our girls in an increasingly digital environment. Our partnerships with the Center for Curriculum Redesign and Cambridge International have been carefully chosen to enhance the learning journey for Pymble students.

The Center for Curriculum Redesign (CCR)

Pymble has partnered with the Center for Curriculum Redesign (CCR) to support our Teaching and Learning Framework. CCR works with educational institutions around the world, including Australia, to share their research and recommendations on what students should be learning to thrive in the age of artificial intelligence (AI). Together with CCR, Pymble is developing a Biotechnology Elective for students in Years 9 and 10 which will be available in 2026. Biotechnology is a rapidly growing industry in Australia with a significant demand for skilled professionals and potential career paths for our students, particularly in pharmaceuticals, agriculture and healthcare.

Cambridge International

Cambridge International offers a pathway to university for students around the world. Last year, Pymble registered as a Cambridge International School, enabling us to offer IGCSE Courses for students in Years 9 and 10, and potentially A Levels (UK equivalent of the HSC) in the future. Given that many of our students are already highly successful gaining entry into overseas universities with the HSC, Cambridge IGCSE provides students with excellent preparation for Years 11 and 12 and an internationally recognised credential.

In 2025, selected Year 10 Pymble students are studying Cambridge Mathematics and will sit examinations in October. In 2026 we intend to offer Global Perspectives, a course that encourages students to consider significant global issues and explore possible solutions. The content for this course can be localised, so that it is relevant for our Australian context, and the skills that students acquire are transferable.

Over time we look forward to expanding the range of Cambridge IGCSE courses that we offer at Pymble
