We’re counting down to Paris 2024!
Pymble has a proud sporting history, producing elite female athletes across a wide range of sports. We count many Pymble alumni and staff members as Olympians and Australian representatives.
As anticipation builds for the Paris Games, it is wonderful to reflect on Pymble’s sporting lineage and our special connections to the Olympics today and throughout history.
In a few short weeks, we will be setting our alarms to support Pymble Alumni, Kristie Edwards in sprinting, Mackenzie Little in javelin and Edwina Tops-Alexander in Equestrian, as well as Pymble staff Kurtis Mathews in diving and Lauren Jackson in basketball.

Australian Olympic Pathway School
Pymble Ladies’ College is proud to announce our official designation as an Australian Olympic Pathway school by the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC). Pymble is the first independent school in Australia to become an Australian Olympic Pathway school.
Mina Wylie; an Olympic trailblazer and Pymble Coach
Mina Wylie is best known as the first Australian woman to win a silver medal at the Olympic Games. Less well known is the determined fight that she and Australian teammate and close friend Fanny Durack, undertook to undertook to represent her country at the Olympic Games in 1912.
Meet Sarah
For Sarah Tian (Year 10), it’s a year in her life she will never forget, having recently spent a week in Brisbane at the 2024 Australian Swimming Trials racing against the nation’s best swimmers in an attempt to qualify for the Paris Olympic Games.
