Alumni Networking Event 2024 

Over 200 alumni, both mentors and mentees joined us last week at KPMG Barangaroo for Pymble’s 2024 Alumni Networking Event.  

We were delighted to welcome Vanessa Hudson (1987), Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Qantas Group, as our guest speaker and learn about her inspiring career journey. Being brave, taking initiative and trusting your team were some of the insights Vanessa shared in conversation with Pymble Board member Eve Clarke (1997).   

Hosted by former Pymble Chair James Hunter, current College Chair Chris Fydler, Principal Dr Kate Hadwen and the Pymble ex-students’ union, the Alumni Networking Event is an annual evening designed to promote professional connection, mentoring and support amongst our alumni community.   

The evening also included an engaging discussion panel with members of the Pymble Ladies’ College Board, facilitated by ESU President Rowena Ditzell (1986). Afterwards, our mentees could select to attend one-on-one mentoring sessions with their pre-chosen mentors or choose between three different careers workshops.  

Claire Braund from Women on Boards hosted sessions on transitioning from executive life to working on company boards, Anna Raine from the Growth Faculty presented on increasing skill sets and exploring growth opportunities and Pymble board member Li-Enn Koo and Senior HR Business Partner Lisa Hills advised on interview techniques and making a strong career start.
